Mix and Match
If you have a varied working schedule or are lucky enough to have the flexibility in choosing a morning or an evening class, I do encourage it. Mixing classes from morning to evening in a block of 6 classes adds varied results and experiences.
Changing classes within a week to suit work or social life schedules can be done. Talk to the teacher to ensure a suitable class is available.
Length Of Classes
Yogalates class lasts for an hour and a quarter. The class involves warming up postures, strengthening postures and then concentrating on core work. A class will always contain breathwork and relaxation.
A beginners class can be up to one and a half hours long. It’s important in these classes to spend time working with postures, experimenting and rounding off with long relaxation/meditation.
Advanced classes are generally one and a half hours long and are faster and stronger than a general or yogalates class. The continuous flow of movement and breath work leads to a deep meditation and often working with visualisation. Students experience a release enabling healing to occur.
