Nuala was introduced to yoga in 1990 whilst living in England and was amazed with the instant release from back pain and the deep sense of stillness just after one class.
Working in a very demanding career in the music industry which included a lot of travel, Nuala found solace in yoga, acting as an antidote to the stress of demanding artists and a rushed lifestyle.
She eventually reached a time in her life when she decided to teach the practice of yoga and all its aspects. She attended classes and workshop in England by one of the most leading teachers in Ayenga Yoga, Ruth White and practised Hatha and Ashtanga in Ireland. She studied with YTTC -Yoga Therapy & Training Centre - Ireland’s largest yoga training body and received a Diploma in Teacher Training.
She was taught under the guided influence of many highly trained teachers, among them Marie Quail, Paddy McGrath, Roy Griffin and renowned Yoga Therapist Suzy Cooper. Nuala is also a certified Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner and received certificates in Reiki 1 and 2 which she likes to blend in her classes, especially her workshops.
Her aim with West Wicklow Yoga is to create a space for students to develop confidence in their practice, reaching their true potential thus carrying it into all aspects of their lives and the lives of those around them.
For those who stay in a yogic path you experience benefits that last a lifetime.
You do not need any knowledge or physical attributes to practice yoga.
You can be any age and yoga can be practised with any disability or hangup.
Namaste
